Onion Contest



Weigh-in Date - September 13th, 2008

Prizes are for 1st, 2nd & 3rd awarded in three categories:
  • Heaviest Onion
  • Exhibition Onion
  • Children's Heaviest Onion (16 yrs & younger)


    • Contest Rules
  • Each entrant must purchase a pack of onions from Lakeview Gardens to be eligible to enter the contest
  • Only the 'Giant' onions purchased from Lakeview Gardens may be entered in the contest
  • A single onion may only be entered in either the weight or the exhibition category
  • The onions entered in any category must be 'sound' (No evident leakage or rotting)
  • All onions entered should have a 2" neck, have roots trimmed to the bulb and be free of soil (Do NOT peel)

    Note: We reserve the right to disqualify any entry if we feel the rules have not been abided by.
