A unique feature of our Garden Centre is the opportunity for visitors to stroll through our extensive personal gardens. What better way to help you visualize your own garden plan than to walk around established perennial beds, a rose garden, a pond garden and a formal herb garden? Herbs are another feature of our Garden Centre. Through the seasons, we offer around 150 varieties that can be used for culinary, fragrant and decorative purposes. We also stock a distinctive selection of decorative baskets and pots, urns and obelisks, bird feeders and plaques in addition to seed, soil, mulch, fertilizers and garden pest and disease control. We are sensitive to our impact on the environment so we are introducing biological control in our greenhouses. We also sell organic fertilizers and mulches and non-chemical pest control. During the summer our greenhouses are filled with English cucumbers and customers can purchase freshly harvested, hand-wrapped cukes for a very reasonable price. Our Herbal Recipe book and our herbal jams and preserves are also available throughout the summer. A new endeavor for us is beekeeping. It's beneficial for the garden and we look forward to having honey and beeswax products available in the future. |

In late summer, you can refresh the colour in your garden with our Garden mums. For Thanksgiving decoration we have pumpkins, squash, gourds, ornamental cabbage and kale. As the gardening season draws to a close, we are making preparations to enter our own produce at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and encourage our customers to do the same. We've won the trophy in the giant onion category in 6 of the last 8 years. In 2008, we are sponsors of the award for best herb container. During the winter months, we are busy nurturing cuttings and ordering the seeds and plants for the coming season. In January, it is already time to begin seeding pansies and we look forward to another season in the gardens. |
